Perfumer’s Hollow exists to support collectors, discovery, and respectful Exchanges. These standards help keep the Hollow fair, trustworthy, and welcoming for everyone.

1. Shipping & Packaging

All payments and shipping arrangements are handled directly between collectors. Confirm carriers, packaging expectations, and shipping timelines before sending a fragrance.

Ship within a reasonable timeframe after both collectors confirm the Exchange — typically within one week unless otherwise agreed. Share tracking information whenever possible.

Package fragrances securely using proper padding and sealed decants, and disclose any known flaws or damage before shipping.

2. Exchange Disputes

If an issue arises during an Exchange, contact the other collector first and attempt to resolve it directly.

If the issue cannot be resolved, use Open Dispute from the active Exchange entry, or Report from a collector’s ledger for concerns unrelated to an Exchange. Include clear descriptions and supporting photos whenever possible.

Perfumer’s Hollow reviews reported concerns and may take moderation or account action when necessary. While we do not process payments or guarantee refunds, we do enforce Collector Standards and community policies across the platform.

Before Opening a Dispute

  • Contact the other collector first.
  • Keep communication respectful and clear.
  • Include photos and supporting details when reporting issues.
  • Use Exchange-linked dispute tools whenever possible.

3. Community Expectations

Accurately represent bottle condition, remaining volume, authenticity, and presentation. Listings should include clear and current photos whenever possible.

Harassment, fraudulent activity, and repeated shipping failures are prohibited. Ongoing issues may result in moderation action, account restrictions, or suspension.

Leave feedback only after a completed Exchange so collector reviews remain accurate and meaningful.

Prohibited Activity

  • Counterfeit or knowingly misrepresented fragrances.
  • Fraudulent listings or payment scams.
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive conduct.
  • Spam or unrelated promotional content.
  • Attempts to exchange stolen goods.

4. Off-Platform Payments

Perfumer’s Hollow connects collectors, but all payments and shipping arrangements are handled independently between members.

Use payment methods you trust, keep important Exchange communication within the Hollow whenever possible, and never share passwords or unrelated financial information.
