100% Magic

The show opens with a spark from the tip of a magician's wand, a plume of smoke from a blown-out birthday candle. Static raises the hair on your arms, a soft layer of electricity from running your hands through dusty, heavy, velvet curtains. Tungsten bulbs whir and illuminate the stage as your eyes adjust to the brightness, adjust to your reflection in a large ornate mirror. It's like looking into the depths of a funhouse, sparkling and distorted, warm skin refracting all the different versions you have ever been.
