The Lost City of Akhetaten refers to an archaeological discovery announced in April 2021 in Egypt. The city, also known as the “Rise of Aten,” is located near Luxor, close to the Valley of the Kings. The city dates back to the reign of Amenhotep III, who was the grandfather of the famous pharaoh Tutankhamun. It is believed to have been built around 3,400 years ago.
