Beach Blanket

In the middle of winter I always go to my beach things and open the box to breathe in the scent. It’s the beach blanket that holds all of my memories of days spent at the shore hearing the waves crash, feeling the sun on my shoulders, and smelling the mix of salt, sand, the sea, and invariable the suntan oil I love. (In fact I love two: the creamy coconut scented ones and classic bain de soleil that I’ve used since childhood).
