Chamomile Cafe

Sitting alone in a dark cafe, near the window. It’s raining outside but you are still warm and dry. You are reading a novel and enjoying a cup of chamomile tea while the smell of oatmeal cookies slowly grows. You realize a fresh batch has just come out of the oven. This smells like lonely nights in a familiar place to me - very warm and cozy but with an undercurrent of melancholy.
