I travel annually to Scotland and one of my favorite places to visit is Greyfriars Kirkyard, a historic cemetery located in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland, steeped in history and folklore, with tales that have been passed down through generations. One of the most famous stories is that of Greyfriars Bobby, the loyal Skye Terrier who reportedly guarded his owner's grave in the kirkyard for 14 years. Visitors can still see Bobby's grave and a statue erected in his honor near the cemetery. Another eerie legend surrounding Greyfriars Kirkyard is the tale of George Mackenzie, known as the "Mackenzie Poltergeist." Mackenzie was a ruthless Scottish lawyer who became known as the "Bluidy Mackenzie" due to his persecution of Covenanters in the 17th century. It is said that his restless spirit haunts the kirkyard, with reports of unexplained phenomena and ghostly sightings. Visitors to Greyfriars Kirkyard also often report feeling a sense of unease or cold spots in certain areas of the cemetery. Some claim to have seen apparitions or heard whispers in the wind, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the graveyard. Our Greyfriars Kirkyard perfume is a fragrant blend of cedarwood, vetiver, and teakwood creating a rich and earthy base note that is both grounding and inviting. The warm and woody aroma of cedarwood is complemented by the smoky and slightly spicy undertones of vetiver, while the sweet and slightly musky
