Pacific Pearl

While in the midst of making too many bad choices in my early twenties, I moved across the country to start over on the west coast. I spent a lot of time in a partially enclosed laundry room outside of my Santa Monica apartment that had one wall composed of a trellis of climbing jasmine. While waiting for my laundry to dry on any given morning, you could find me reading on top of the dryer, inhaling the floral sea-misted air and admiring the dappled sunshine punching through the greenery. Pacific Pearl is an ode to that bright-eyed, determined girl who, despite the circumstances, found magic and beauty in a laundry room of all places.
