Stroopwafel

This delicious gourmand fragrance is inspired by the Dutch waffle cookie Stroopwafel, with notes of vanilla, caramel, baked waffle with wood and smoke. Wrapped in Gezellig; an untranslatable atmosphere that encompasses Dutch culture and includes feelings of coziness and ambiance that is inviting, friendly, sociable, comfortable, and convivial. “Gezellig” is a very Dutch concept, which means an inviting and friendly ambiance, and doesn’t really have an English-language equivalent word. The fragrance is inspired by my years living in Amsterdam, and I’m picturing enjoying coffee and stroopwafels in a 17th century canal house. There are tulips on the table and the old oakwood floors have just been polished. There’s a cool North Sea breeze outside, but inside it’s cozy and warm in front of the fireplace.”-Ineke Rühland
