how do you balance the need for touch with the fear of being known? i remember traveling to maine every summer with my family, spending my days playing in the low tide and biking to the local market to buy food for the week--sea salt gently crystallizing on my skin as the briny air dried me off, the smell of fresh berries clinging to my clothes and hair. i want someone to be that close to me.
